Below are some of our services that are commonly requested: Design Phase Services: Provide structural plans and calculations for buildings and miscellaneous structures such as retaining walls, masonry fences, roof mounted HVAC equipment, sign posts, etc. for submittal to the local building department. Construction Phase Services: Phone, fax and email communication with the Client and Contractor is provided for interpretation and clarification of construction documents as required. Provide structural observation at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction or as defined by the agreement. Prepare construction observation reports for submittal to the local building department. Structural Condition Assessment Reports: Many issues are found on existing facilities requiring a Structural Engineer to perform an on-site assessment. PZSE, Inc. can provide an in depth examination of the facility including some or all of the following activities: visual observation, field measuring, photography, probing and sampling, numerical analysis, checking code compliance, documentation and report preparation. Concrete Tile Re-Roof Reports: Many building departments require a structural investigation report of the roof when replacing the existing roof covering with a light or standard weight concrete tile. PZSE, Inc. ensures the structural adequacy of the existing roof structure to support the applied loads. We currently perform 300 to 400 structural investigation reports a year involving the installation of concrete tile on existing residential structures.
