Overview

The PZSE Portal is an innovative web application to quickly and easily provide our industry leading PV solar engineering services for flush mount residential installations.

It has been created for residential PV installers and designers who are in need of structural and electrical services for supporting documents to satisfy AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements for permitting.

The Portal provides high-quality engineering and electrical services to our clients in 24 hours or less highlighting the speed and accuracy of our engineering online service. Payment transactions have been made easier with the convenience of the Portal’s pre-paid feature. In addition, this innovative application acts as a project management tool allowing you to have control and visibility to current progress status of projects, completed projects and all financial records and invoices.

IEBC (International Existing Building Code) governs additions and alterations to existing buildings. An IEBC letter is a statement of the controlling building code and the loading conditions at the job site. In our statement, we include that the structure is adequate to withstand the added load of the PV system. The Portal will validate the project location, code and loading information per the site location. The information received is then stored for later convenience use for other detailed services if needed.

A code-compliant installation must consider the construction and load paths of the existing building. The Full Structural service provides a feasibility analysis for the building that will support the PV system.

Our deliverables for a Full Structural service will include stamped plans, a structural calculation package and a certification letter. The calculations are an analysis of the PV system weight on the roof in consideration of wind and earthquake loads on the building. If the calculation findings require that building upgrades are needed, the project will get forwarded to our engineering team to review upgrade options.
